The Gonstead Difference

The Gonstead System has stood the test of time being taught and presented at Chiropractic universities and colleges around the world.  The Gonstead System is specific hands on chiropractic. It is thorough, methodical, safe and effective. It clearly defines the subluxation. It teaches you to find the subluxation, differentiate it from compensations and then correct it with the most specific and skilled adjustment. Most importantly it helps you get the sort of results that made you want to study chiropractic in the first place.

Essentials Class

This class will be presented by GCS Fellow, Dr Joe Bonnano. Dr Bonnano has been presenting the Essentials Class for several years and has laid the foundation for many of todays Gonstead practitioners. This class gives you all the information on the foundations of the Gonstead System and includes a full presentation of the history, x-ray analysis, line drawings, listings and the components of a subluxation along with the steps followed by Gonstead Chiropractors when analysing a patient. Instrumentation, visualisation, static palpation and motion palpation are all demonstrated along with a hands-on session on Sunday. This class helps bring to life Dr Gonstead’s successful formula “Find IT, Accept IT, Fix IT and Leave IT alone”. This is for those students and doctors who have not previously attended a Gonstead Seminar and those who wish to brush up on the fundamental principles of the Gonstead System. You must do this class before attempting the Technique class

Technique Class

The Technique Class will be delivered by GCS Fellows, Dr Les Carroll and Dr David Leach. Pelvic Bench, Knee Chest Table and Cervical Chair adjustments will be covered over the weekend. Diplomates and other Fellows will ensure all attendees get maximum tuition in developing their adjusting skills. This class is for those who have done the Essentials Class and doctors and students of Chiropractic who are developing their technique or learning it for the first time. This practical class involves a great deal of hands on work so come prepared for skills practice.

Advanced Class

As your technique improves with the Gonstead system you may find that “not all cases are that straight forward”. In this Master class GCS Fellows, Dr Tim Free and Dr Robin Brichall will present “Chiropractic Differential Diagnosis” and “Technique Gems” learned from Dr Alex. Drs Free and Birchall will demonstrate the process involved in clinical decision making and patient management. There will be a detailed analysis of key elements in the history, physical examination, X-Ray interpretation; technique and philosophy that will help you to get the results you are looking for.

Dr Robin Birchall will be presenting an advanced X-Ray analysis class on the Sunday.  Over many years of practice, Dr Birchall has perfected assessing the X-Ray and in particular, the nuances of the lateral film.  Practitioners of all experiece levels will gain alot from this class.

An Extremities class focussing on the elbow will be held on Sunday at 1.30pm.  This will run for 2 hours.  You will need tp urchase a seperate ticket to attend.  Tickets are available here.
